Beginnings
I am originally from Rochester, Indiana, and I was born in Logansport. I graduated high school from Tippecanoe Valley and went on to Grace College to receive my Bachelor’s in Business Management. I moved to Kentland in 2020 when I married my husband, Josh. I’ve worked in banking for about 18 years and currently work at Kentland Bank as an agriculture and commercial loan officer. I also do consumer loans for cars and motorcycles, home equity loans, and more.
Community Involvement
I got involved with the Kentland Rotary in the fall of 2020, eventually becoming president in July of 2023. I decided to join to meet people since I was new to town. We have great fellowship and have done some great projects and events, including bagging groceries at Murphy’s, raising money for food pantries, and facilitating wheelchair ramp builds. We’ve also contributed to an organization that works to eradicate polio, as well as a non-profit called Mobility Worldwide that makes hand-powered wheelchairs. Upcoming, we have our 5K on the Runway event on December 17th, which coincides with the town’s A Little Christmas Cheer event.
Apart from the Kentland Rotary, I am also a Zumba instructor at Inspirations Studio every Monday. Additionally, I volunteer for Lifewise Academy for the North Newton School System. It’s a Biblical-based class experience for elementary school kids.
Kentland’s Legacy
If I had to describe what life is like in Kentland, I would say that the people here are very dedicated to making this town family-oriented. It’s a great place to raise your children.
